Towards the end of the year 2010, the US newspaper which has a great reputation for its coverage of every kind of news that was worthy of being printed, and popularly known as the paper of record came out with a truly astounding public statement. Pink, we were informed, was back in fashion…pink was evident wherever you looked…pink was popular and had returned!
The article highlighted both the styles, and the trends that were popular among the 50s leading up to the 60s. At a time when variants of pink hues were notable in many cars, this color was reflected in a number of rooms throughout houses of the rich and famous. It highlights the changing customer's preference for more light colors rather than pink and to the manufacturer's plight this trend is even affecting the commonly bought products of their girl crib sets.
Then, as the main story in the weekend “Style” section, there was an interior designer all dressed in pink telling us about how many people are now incorporating all sorts of pink accessories into their home decoration color schemes and especially using pink shades of tile on the walls, buying pink toilet fixtures and choosing pink bathroom linens.
